Awards Banquet 2026

At the banquet, Nature London will recognize the outstanding contributions of nominated members.

The guest speakers are Christa Wise and Joseph Langlois, Interpretive Naturalists at The University of Guelph Arboretum. They will explore the “Naturalists' Calendar” of things they look forward to through the seasons. From spring birding and ephemeral flowers to catching dragonflies and finding galls, each season brings something new to be excited about. Join Christa and Jo to discover how you can start your own naturalist’s adventure!

Speaker Biographies

Joseph Langlois and Christa Wise are Interpretive Naturalists and Student Engagement Coordinators at the University of Guelph Arboretum. Together, they connect people with nature through educational programming, interactive activities, and community engagement.

Passionate about biodiversity in all its forms, Jo enjoys connecting people with nature through birding and introducing others to the fascinating world of plant galls. Originally from Québec, he moved to Guelph to complete a Master of Environmental Sciences at the University of Guelph and has worked at The Arboretum since graduating in 2024.

Christa enjoys helping others discover the small wonders of the natural world and fostering appreciation for the biodiversity found in everyday spaces. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Zoology at the University of Guelph and has worked at The Arboretum since graduating in 2022. She is currently pursuing a Master of Environmental Sciences at the University of Guelph.
